In my opinion the best looking and most useful bags are those by http://www.leatherpros.com/. But....they are expensive, however they're well made, real leather, and rigid box that mount around your shocks without sticking out too far. I've had throwovers and sold them as they were almost useless due to small size.
Will probably get a set of LPs this winter myself, who knows. For the time being I've been using a Kuryakyn Grand Tour bag for most travel or store hopping needs.

You might want to check out the Willie & Max bags. They're not too expensive and look fairly good for a non-leather bag.

Go on ebay these is a someone selling a five piece set for $49.95. A roll bag, tool bag, w/s bag, saddle bags and sissy bar bag. Sorry I don't have the link.
