I use a set in a 3/4 helmet that has a face shield but no windshield on the bikewith "free flowing" pipes. It's not Carnegie Hall, but for the price it gets the job done very nicely.
Vibration on my belt.
You all have a point here. But - I am adult enough. All I asked was an earplug model, not how to live my life.

We're not telling you how to run your life, we are trying to save our own.
No phone call is that important where they can't wait till you reach a scheduled stop.
Hell, part of the reason for owning abike is to get away from it all, not to bring it with you.
Let's not forget about the whole transportation part of owning a bike. I like to drive it to work sometimes. My job has me driving all over northern Indiana all day long. Sometimes, not being able to use the phone is a hinderance in my line of work. I cope with not using it personally, but I can see where others may want to keep in touch while on the road. I don't see it as any different than having a CB or a rider-passenger comm link. Plenty of bikes have those. What are the statistics on accidents caused by a rider using one? (Honest curiosity, I don't know the answer to that question or if has ever even been studied)
jmarkle, that pic that you have 'incoming' is absolutely awesome. you wouldnt happen to have it any bigger, would love to put that on my computer at work. That is so cool, very nice.
On a related note, does anyone know how I can hook up my portable DVD player so I can watch my Simpson's dvd while I ride? I hate to miss a single D'oh![sm=smiley2.gif]

I left my house this morning, headed to an appointment. I pulled up to a stop light and while waiting for the light I looked around at the cars next to me. In the 2 vehicles to my right were 2 women both with cellphones to their ear. To my left, 3 more cars, again women, all with cellphones in their ear.
It was 7:20 AM. Based on their vehicles, I doubt any of them were Emergency Room surgeons enroute to save someones life. Please tell my why chatting with your girlfriends is so F...ing important that you risk someonelses life?
PS, My wife has the same affliction. I also refuse to ride with her, if she's driving, if she feels she might need to answer the cellphone. Bash away if you like, but driving is a full time job, others peoples lives are at stake.
"This forum has turned into a bunch of grumpy old men. Too many times I have seen people jump all over someone that has asked for simple advice. Everybody has their reasons for doing what they do.
READ the request and offer recommendations that pertain to the question. There was no mention of whether to or not use the blackberry. Get off of your soapbox and offer sound, friendly advice. If you want to comment on whether it is a good idea to listen to music or talk while riding, start your own thread.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
Flame me as much as you want. That just goes to prove my point.
If we cannot be kind and helpful to each other, who will"
Interesting to me that one of the reasons we all ride is the "freedom" we enjoy, yetwe'repretty damn quick to tell everyone else how to enjoy their version of that samefreedom...to the point of employing hyperbole to do it... Haw haw!
