Could the chrome also be spray painted in black. Or is that cheese looking?
Its pretty cheese looking and wont hold up any amount of time. You could use black heat tape on your exhaust for a start.Youd be better to get the chrome powder coated,if you want it to look right. What year, size, trim bike are you starting with??

I hear ya bro, I think I will go with the second option.
I just bought a HD 2007 XL883 L. From one day to another I decided I wanted a Harley for no particular reason. So I had the money and went right ahead and went for It. I saw the pic of the bike and said thats the one I want. You know what the funny thing about this whole situacion is? I cant even drive a motorcycle!!!!!!!
And its funny but here I am picturing how I want to pimp out the bike. It should be the other way around, I should be searching how to drive the thing and then asking all the detail after
I guess thats cool though.
Oh and I bought my bike for 3700 USD.

For $3700 on an 07 you could just look at it for awhile, and not be hurt.Take the MSF course and you will be riding in no time
Of course it can. You can make any Sportster look even better than a 1200N Sportie. Chop the fenders, do some painting, get rid of the chrome, wrap the exhaust in header wrap, get some mini apes or drags, paint the wheels flat black, get red line tires or white walls....i could go on and on. Just picture it in your mind and go to town. Damn, that sounds like a fun project!
So you bought it on a whim? Go take an MSF course, spend the time to get your permit or license, and don't ride on the street without a few hours practice time in a parking lot, and take your first ride with someone else (experienced) riding beside you. We don't want to see you splattered on the road.
rwjjr is right, if you want a professional looking job that will last a long time get it all powder coated. You spent next to nothing on the bike so you can get it all done right and still come out WAY ahead.

The Problem is that I dont live in the States and I dont know where they might powdercoat. I will find out where they do this work
