I bought a set of 6 deg rake, and 4" extended fork and trees from Demon Cyles in Florida. They are the "tribal" design. They look good, but I don't have them installed yet.
Will post up pics' when I do, but it will probably be about a month until I'm done.

The techs at their shop said it should ride fine with this set-up. Longer forks could produce wobble.

kahaone, I'd really like some more info on these forks. Are the ones you purchased bolt on for the sportster? I suppose there tech support led you in the right direction. $375 for forks with triple trees sounds cheap, is the quality as good as expected? Thanks...

OK, update.
Just got back from the build shop. Turns out these triple trees WILL NOT fit a Sportster with rubber motor mounts. The top, and bottom tree hits the frame and will not mount without frame cutting and rewelding. My builder says they would fit other models without rubber mounts though. But there is no possible way they will fit a rubber mount bike, without extensive cutting, grinding, and rewelding.
I spoke with Tom (through email) from Demon Cycles. He says they will fit 110% and he has done it before. The guy is definatly NOT telling the truth!!! There is no possibilty that they will fit at all....period!! And, just as I sawin theother thread, to return, I pay shipping and a 17% restocking fee, if everything is in 100% perfect shape. I am not a happy camper right now! They made the mistake by selling parts that don't fit. I didn't blindly order parts, they recommended them. They should not expect me to lose 17% of thecost because they scewred up! And yes, they screwed up, not me. Although I am thinking that just by buying from Demon Cyles....I did screw up!

To sum it up......DEMON CYCLES sucks, avoid them like the plague! They are NOT customer friendly!

So, I have decided to go a different route with the bike. The builder is going to extend and rake the front end by way of cutting frame and adding tubes. I have seen several of his Sportster builds, and they all look great. So he is going to do mine also. But with a twist, I still want to retain the mini apes, so he will not add as much to the up-tube as in his other bikes. And the cost will be less than what it would have been to make these trees and forks fit properly.

So, now I have a front end for sale......any takers??? They actually look good, and I like the triple tree design. They should fit any Sportster without rubber motor mounts, according to my builder, not Demons builders.
If any interest, let me know, or I will put them on eBay and try to get some of my $$ back!

I like a 'firm riding' bike, so I went with a 14 degree over .41mm front end with 8" over tubes.

Also upgraded to a chromed 4-piston front caliper and stainless brake line

The longer wheelbase and firm suspension did wonders for the ride, and the Sportster now feel more stable out on the highway than my Dyna WideGlide.

Got rid of the 'choppy ride' I noticed with the stock short wheelbase and .39mm tubes..
