I dont remember the whole story, but I was watching an interview. After a jump or appearance, I think a group of Angels went up to him and tried to talk to him. During that time riding a bike wasnt as acceptable as it is today ... the clip was maybe late sixties early sevnties ... even I can remember that the Angels ... and moreso the L.I. Pagans that my oldest brouther of 53 hung with, werent really socially accepted. Anyway, Evel was talking **** to them ... basically turned his back .. one of the Angels said or did something and the crowd went off on them.

Saw a good 2 hour documentary on the History Channel this weekend called "Absolute Evel".
It followed his life and included footage from all the big jumps and crashes...
Great flick, even greater man.

He was one of a kind.
I've found links to a couple of his stunts on youtube. The first one is Ceasar's palace and it there it looks like he is on a Bonnie. The second is the Wembley Stadium jump where it looks like he's on a HD.
