Hi everyone. I am just curious if anyone has had a carb sportster and then went to a newer FI? Did you notice a big change? Pros and cons please?

Do you even own a Sportster?... Why TF are you here?... Please go away

If you guys had read this chumps other posts, you would understand the reply. I am usually very helpful on this forum, I just don't care to help out people like him.

Well... As you can all clearly see.... The scared lil newbie had to block me and run away... This Jap bike lovin, non-sportster ridin chump was just no match for the Kid... Sorry to scare you away and make you block me fella ... lmao....

Hopefully you learned your lesson my friend... Mess with the bull and you get the horns... And if you continue to Harley bash on this site... You can expect more of the same... Don't pretend to be interested in the old cliche' post of "carbed v efi"... We know you are just a Cow A Sock ee ridin traitor at heart.

If you hadn't blocked me like a scared lil kid (are you still shakin in your boots?)... We could have debated this further... Then again... I don't care to fight with frightened lil blockers like yourself..... And to think that I was actually being nice too... And you were still so afraid that you had to block me! lmao

I know for a fact that Cow A Sock ee has its own forums.. Why don't you go there and play with the boys (no doubt you're used to that).... Leave the Harley Davidson forum to us men.

HDK, don't tell us that you loaned a bike to one of your buddies and went on a drinking spree too. This does not sound like you, especially for a 1000th post.

Friends, John

HDK, are you catching the dreaded stealer rep.???

Maybe you need to go away for a vacation.

To answer the question, I haven't driven an EFI Sporty, but from many reports here, assuming you are going to go with Stage 1 exhaust & A/C, I understand that they run well after you spend another few hundred bucks on a tuner module and dyno run. Yes, you can get a remap for about $150 but that only works it you are using the SE pipes and A/C.

Personally, I like that I can buy a set of carb. jets for under $10, but that's my opinion, and the debate will continue just like the never ending which oil is better debate.

I belive the simple fact is that HD would have never gone to EFI had they not been forced to do so to meet EPA requirements.

I gotta agree with cHarley on this one.... I'd rather spend the $15 bucks and hour of my time on rejetting (which will work) than 400-500 bucks on something that only might work with the remap.
Also if my battery isn't at it's best (i.e. almost dead) my bike will still run with a bumpstart or two, unlike the fuelie models...

Carb is definatly cheaper to tune.

I'd like to see some side by side performance tests.
