Who's changed their spoked front wheel to something custom? I'm considering going with something different when I change my tires next year. Post 'em up!
Sorry, I don't have photos to post. I bent the front wheel on my 1200 C (05) when I came in contact with a falling rock. I replaced it with a cast wheel and like it much better. The one I got is a Harley wheel and it has six double spokes. Not only do I like theappearance but also the fact that I now have tubeless both front and rear for using a tire plug and 12 v pump for roadside repairs.
Yeah, that's one of the reasons I want to change to a cast wheel, whaap. Not only do I like the looks of some of the custom wheels (roadwinder [:-]) but I'd like to run tubeless.
hey!!!!!!!!!!!
just replaced my 21" spoke w/ a 21" lightningstar mag, which the dealerships market for around 650.00!!! but if you'll be patiend and search ebay for sportster front wheel under all categories..
you'll find a great deal.. anywhere from 150.00 as i paid for mine in the hd box!! or up to about 300.. which is still half price.. a lot of the wheels selling from ebay are actually being sold by dealerships!! save a lot of money and pay no taxes!!!!!!!!!!! just remember you can use either sportster or dyna wheels. and the most you would have to change is the bearings which sell on ebay for 20.00 plus shipping on ebay. and the spacer which the dealership sells for about 10.00
good luck
