pon Tappet noise after conversion...

Default pon Tappet noise after conversion...
Well, me and my buddy did the 883/1200 conversion on my wife's sportster, and everything went real well, finishing it up this afternoon and all. Upon firing it up, ran real smooth, but on the test drive, it started picking up a tappet type of noise once the engine got warmed up. The noise, (like an auto running low on oil), seems to be coming from the front head. The bike has only 6000 miles on it, so don't believe anything is broken. Before we tear it apart, anyone on this great resource have any ideas?

BTW, the bike run's like a raped ape, really strong...

Are you running adjustable pushrods? Type of lifters your using?

Everything is stock, 1998 Sporster 883.
