According to 'old legend', you should only put one on your bike if it was given to you as a gift, purchased by someone other than yourself.

That is, if you believe in all the Gremlin Bell stuff.

Well, I heard about the bell and gremlins form a buddy before I got my bike, but did not know about the gift thing untill I ran across the bells, bought one and the little story card came with it. Now,I have no friends who are sentimental or superstitious so mine is hung, in middle. Had not heard of the brass bell on the left story, but I recently ran across a neat bell formed into an angel, brass and copper. Also did not know it was bad luck to take one off and was not sure two would be ok. Instead of replacing, I guess I will unbalance the ride and hang the angel on the left shift rod. Good luck to all.

So is it ok to buy and hang a brass bell on the left handle bar your self?

came with the bike hangs off my brakeline above the front fender.hasn't hit yet

My bike came with one on it, was going to buy one for myself, now not sure if I should take off the one that came with it, or what to do? What would you all do if your bike came with one already on it?
