Hey Guys getting ready to add some dyna bars, and chrome out the front end. I was thinking about the wideglide conversion kit, or maybe some triple trees with a 3 to 5% rake. Harley has the wideglid kit for a $1000.00 i'm not going to spend that kind of money on this kit. Have any of you goes done this? I can find the triple trees for 41mm tubes with a 5% rake for $250.00, how much does the 41mm tubes cost?
well, mine has the wide glide front end, but it came with the bike so i cant tell you much about it other than it is too stiff for a lighter bike like a sportster. mine i suspect, is not a kit, but is from a BT, so i need to replace the springs. looks great though, first thing most folks notice.
I can find the wideglide conversion kit for up to 99, they they are about $300.00 bucks, I have e-mailed all of them that sales them, and ask if they have them for 06 and they all said no. So I might not be going this route. I would like to. My dad use to cut and rake the frame his self, I don't want to do this, but I also don't want to spend a $1000.00 on it.
