Default Another progressive question

I know you guys have beat this to death but...... will the progressive 412's 11.5 give a better ride than the stock shocks on my wifes 883L which are 11.0 ?

Eastern performance has a good deal on them for 189 $ and free shipping if your lookingto upgrade yourshocks !!

Don't think she will notice the difference of one half inch, although the rear will be a bit higher. Rear shocks aren't that sensitive, after all they are just springs and valves. Personally, I would put on the Progressive shock recommended by Progressive. They were engineered to fit and work properly.

Progressive recommended the 440 series and that I can't afford but the 412's I can afford.
my hope is that the progressives will be a better shock even though they are only a 1/2 inch taller.
has anyone else put them on an 883L ?
I wanted to put the 12.5's on it but she thought an inch taller would be too much.

Progressive should have a 412 to fit your bike. Eastern Performance can likely get it for you at the $189 price...they did for me. To look up the 412 go to the Progressive site:

The stock shock length on your bike should be 11.75" so 412 11.5" or 12" should work just fine. 440's are an overkill waste of money on a sporty IMO.

I just measured the shocks on my 883L. They are 11.75". That was measuring center bolt to center bolt.
