I've done a search but can't quite find the answer to my question. Apparently it is possible to put handlebar risers on a Nightster (someone had once told me you can't) but in looking around, I can't find one that says specifically it WILL fit a 2008 Nighster. I don't want to get something only to have to return it. Can anyone tell me what they've used, what will fit, any links? I'm only looking for maye a 2" riser max. Thanks in advance!
Hey thanks! And actually, I guess what I need is a 3" riser (if they make such a thing), because I believe the stock one IS an inch, or maybe 1-1/2". I only need one, or maybe 2 inches more.
Your problem is that the speedo mount is incorporated into the h-bar top clamp and no one makes risers that I know of to line up with the stock h-bar clamp/speedo mount. The way around it is simple and cheap. Get whatever risers you want then the speedo mounting bracket used on the older XL/Dynas and then convert your indicator lights over to that bracket and mount it to you triple trees like this (you can also raise it up using extension sockets)
If this option works for you just let me know and I'll dig up the part numbers that I have saved in an email and send them to ya.
Oh, and by the way...I swapped my original tall pullback riser with built in speedo mount for 2" risers you see above, but have more recently switched to 3" round top rises shown below...
