I hate the term nighty, I hate the term Nightster, I hate the term Sportie, I call mine a XL1200N.
I was asked, by a not soo bad looking chick,"What kind of motorcycle do I have."
My reply: "I have aXLH883."
Her reply: "Oh ...you have a Japanese bike."

It's obvious that we all have enough time on our hands to spend a few extra nanoseconds to just call the Nightster a Nightster, We're here screwing around killing time right? And as far as Sportsters being girlie bikes, It would seem to me that the "Girlie" bike would be the one thats all Cush and Comfy with all the creature comforts of somone wanting to ride down the road in his/her lazy boy chair. I rode the Gulf coast last Oct. with three Road Kings, No one took a second glance at them but every stop guys and girls we're commenting on how kickass my nightster looked. How it took them back to the fifties and sixties when sportsters ruled the motorcycle world as they will continue to do. Long Live Cool!!!

I agree with that statement. If any bike could be considered girly it would be those types. I don't consider them girly though, I just consider them gawdy.
