I live in Wisconsin and don't have a choice either ride a little in the coldor park the bike for a long time and look at it which I have been doing latley because the roadsare full of salt and snow here. When I do ride at first I think about the cold but it does fade away once I get going. Damn I wanna get out and take a ride.

Thinking about the dangers is what helps keep us safe. No matter if we are thinking about it while riding or not. Subconsciously we are watching!

This is exactly how I feel. I dont worry to the point I don't want to ride. Just enough to keep me alert and on my toes while I am out. Plus I am a new rider so I probably worry a little more now than I will down the road. But who knows.

Glad to see I am not the only one.... I agree with you Mark g... I think being a little bit "keyed up" helps to heighten the senses... And makes for a safer ride.

I love to ride in the cold. Put on a full face and a turtle fur, a pair of gloves, and cover up pants - love the feeling of spitting in the face of mother nature. Shaking your fist at the sky and saying "Is that all you got!" [unless it's cold and rainy - that just sucks ]

Thank you, Sir! After all these years, it's my couch-glide. I just can't find snow-tires or chains for it.
Actually, here in Virginia, it's in the 50's today and forecast for low 60's later this week.
By the way, a couple of years ago, for our local toy run, the temp was just above zero (like 3 degrees), but over 30 bikes showed up for the ride.
