Okay... So maybe I am just a wuss... But I have to admit that riding in sub-freezing temps (32F or less) does make me a little nervous... Before the ride that is... I stress about: black ice, cold tires, gravel, magnesium... etc.. etc...etc....
The funny thing is... As I have just reminded myself yet again tonight (at 29F)... Is that once you roll on the throttle on YOUR bike.... The bike that you know and that is an extension of you....The stress just fades away like a cager in your shaking Ness mirror... Gone

Anyone else know what I am talking about?
The only thing I strees about is freezing my A$$ off!LOL But for some reason, the cold doesn't feel so cold at 80 MPH with the pipes screming!
I understand what you're saying, especially with the way they saturate the roads with magnesium chloride. (I've also noticed they're using a LOT of sand this year.)Once I start riding, all my worries fade. The rumble of 1200 cc's.... ahhh the sound of bliss!
Glad you got your bike out today, the weather wasn't half bad considering it is January!
I do the exact same thing. Even when it is not cold I think about alot of the same type of stuff. But once I fire her up and get on the road it all goes away. I love my scoot!!!!
