Default Changing to EFI

Okay, here's the project. I'm removing the current (stock, carbed) engine from my 2000 1200C and replacing it with a low mileage 2000 Buell X1 Lightn' EFI engine. I got the buell motor with the complete and uncut wiring harness. I was getting ready to pull the old engine last night and realized i'm going to have to custom make a new upper motor bracket as the injectors and components are going to be in the way (not a big deal, I'm gonna head out there to start on that tonight). Here's my big question, anyone here ever dealt with the fuel pump in the tank issue? This morning i got a great deal on a used Quick Bob tank from a local shop. Only issue with the tank is the previous owner cut out the bung for the petcock (not a big deal, i can weld and already have a weldment replace fitting). I figure the current hole may be needed for access/mounting the pump? Anyone have any advice on this?thanks, chris
