Default rear rim q

Plan on picking up some black wiresfor the Sporty (I just love those on the Nightsters), and I've noticed that the rear bearing size is different on certain years. So does anyone know exactly what year rears will fit on an 04?

From what I have seen 2004-2008 are all the same.

Well, I've seen some rears say "has such and such bearing and may not fit bla bla"
Seen some fronts like that too, and supposably, they're all Sportster rims.

I would just get it in writing wherever you get your rims that they will fit. Ask about spacers, etc that you may need. I would think that if there were no major chassis/frame changes that like years would all be the same. (Shrug)

In 06 HD went from 3/4" to 1" axles. You can convert an 06up wheel by swapping the bearings to 3/4" if it's worth the cost to you.

I'm not positive about the rear wheel but I know that the front wheel is interchangeable for years 00-05.

I'm 'almost positive' that the change from 3/4" axles to 1.0" axles happened with the 2005 model year...

I do know for a fact that my 2005 1200C has the 1.0" axles.

OFG is correct, the change to a 1" axle was in 05.
Sorry.
