Default terrible luck

got my bike back after 3 weeks of non riding.

getting my gear on, ready to drive it away from the shop

and my prescription glasses snap at the bridge in a place that I canot repair.....

almost got in two accidents on my way back

(im blind as a bat without glasses)

the last 2 times it happened, the frames were disconinued and I had to wait two weeks for new lenses in new frames, and pay 150+

knwoing my luck, it will be the same

anyone else have stories of terrible shitty luck to make this period of not being able to ride easier?

I feel you pain as I have been wearing glasses since I was 3 (I'm 47). I always have a second (and third) set on hand just for these emergencies. Are they metal or plastic frames? If the are metal a jeweler may be able to silver solder them as a quick fix.

+1, Carry in your lenses, they put them in a machine, read the perscription. 1 hour later you walk out with new glasses, usually $99 if they are not special, like bifocals.

I was just going to say that. I've worn glasses since I was 5. My eyesight was so bad, the doc considered me legally blind in both eyes. I got the lasik surgery 2 years ago. Haven't had a problem.

Tell me about it. It was weird. First thing in the mornings, I would grab my glasses before I did anything else. I couldn't see to do anything else. For about a week after the surgery, I still wanted to grab my glasses. It took my little boy awhile to get use to it also. He kept bringing his daddy his glasses. LOL
As you said CMC, it changes your life.
