I feel you pain as I have been wearing glasses since I was 3 (I'm 47). I always have a second (and third) set on hand just for these emergencies. Are they metal or plastic frames? If the are metal a jeweler may be able to silver solder them as a quick fix.
Check out lenscrafters the make glasses in an hour.
+1, Carry in your lenses, they put them in a machine, read the perscription. 1 hour later you walk out with new glasses, usually $99 if they are not special, like bifocals.
I was just going to say that. I've worn glasses since I was 5. My eyesight was so bad, the doc considered me legally blind in both eyes. I got the lasik surgery 2 years ago. Haven't had a problem.

No Thanks, I am in the eye care industry, you couldn't give me this for free...Most people have good luck with it but those that don't I feel sorry for...
You get a Harley and a Ducatti for free and your worried about breaking a hundred dollar pair of glasses?...yeah, you got bad luck alright, wish mine was as bad.[&:]
Tell me about it. It was weird. First thing in the mornings, I would grab my glasses before I did anything else. I couldn't see to do anything else. For about a week after the surgery, I still wanted to grab my glasses. It took my little boy awhile to get use to it also. He kept bringing his daddy his glasses. LOL
As you said CMC, it changes your life.
