Anyone know how much an HD Dealer or even an Indy would charge to install mini apes?Spare me the 30 posts on how I should be able to wrench it on myself. I do damage when wrenching. Estimates anyone?
i just installed them on mine...are you just talking about labor or parts and labor? its a big job(i did it myself)took my time and it was about 6 hours..i would think the dealer should be able to pull it off in less time, since im sure they have done it before..i would say you would be charge at minimal 4 hours labor..and my dealer here charges $72 hour labor..hope that helps
The dealer put 10" mini apes (really Wide Glide bars) on mine last year. Total cost, parts and labor was about $250. They had quoted me about $400, bet never charged me for new cables. I think the original ones may have actually been long enough. I had an 883L, and they have taller original bars than Customs, hence longer cables?
Anyway, it was about $250 total, including turn signal relocation brackets.
up here north of the border prices are a little different but this is what i got for quotes $800 fromthe stealer that was internal wiring braidedlines .indy shop about $600 .did it myself for about $300
Same here when I put drag bars on the sporty it costed over 700$ at the dealer. With the bars themselves costing less than 30$, although I went with braided cables, the black ones were a little cheaper.
