I think theNightser wouldbe a great first real streetbike for you.Sounds like you've alreadyyour mind made up though. Have picked the model, color, can afford it andjoined a HDForum. As far as convincing your wife, just tell her...Hey honey look what I bought today...the guys on the HD Forum told me I should.
[sm=biker2.gif](This is you riding to spend the night at a hotel after telling her you bought a Harley)
I just bought the olive/black Nightster myself. Shocked everyone when I did it.... I've always ridden rice and caught a good amt of flack for it.
Last year I started toying with the idea of the Nightster in this color but just couldn't justify the cost in my mind. An opportunity arose (used 357 miles for less than the stealer and I jumped). The excuse I used was life is too short for me to always be putting everyone else first....... I've got 3 kids who have about sucked the life out of me (2 are grown and moved out but MOM is always taking care of their crap still).
I've always told ppl you'll find no better therapy than being in the wind, so why not ride the wind on what I want. I love my Honda , it's been a great bike and I have put a LOT of myself into it these past years but it's time to move on and I'm going for it. This is my 4th bike and I think we're going to have a long happy ride together.
I think you already have YOUR answer on what you should do for you. Remeber to post a pic on the forum of you and your new ride
Amen on the kids sucking the life (and money) out of us. When I was a kid, my parents spent money on themselves by putting it in the bank, now we (my wife) blows every damn bit of it on Hanna Montana crap and the likes. It took me a long time to convince her to spend some money on us, and maybe in the future we'll put some in the bank. "If we wait until we can afford it, we'll be to old to enjoy it" I had 16 different cars / trucks from 16 to 22 (projects) then at 22 I got married. Drove a company truck and then a work truck of my own for 10 years. At 11 years in I bought my Nightster, Thank GOD, Free at last!!!!
If you buy it your ***** will get MUCH bigger and all the young hotties will want o have sex with you.
But if you're not into that then just get a Bagger instead.
Now that is fkn funny..... And true [8D]..... You should only buy this bike if you want the coolest HD for the money on the planet.... This bike is.... Without a doubt.... BAD.....AZZ
