So i heard last night that my bike should have some sort of a fuel warning light? Is this true? I have never seen it, and have run the bike out of gas (sure I can wait one more day before hitting the gas station, yeah i know i am already on reserve)
2bstrange is correct. 07up has the low fuel light, 06 & earlier has a manual reserve. EFI is the reason for the change. Is not a good thingtorun an EFI system out of fuel.

Good to know. I thought my '04 was supposed to have a warning light, but I also know that I've run that sucker outta gas without it coming on. I didn't know what the hell was wrong with it the first time it happened. []

Thats an old myth. There is nothing in a F.I. system that requires fuelfor lubrication. I have seen some cars that had failed in-tank pumps that feed a main pump andthe owners never knew the intank pump had failed until they ran there car out of gas and it wouldn't restart because of the main pump couldn't draw fuel out of the tank. The only thing to remember is once your out of gas, there is no reserve switch, just like a car.
