I had a Harley QD on myprevious Sportster. a'05 883c.Currently I use a Memphis Shield El Paso. It looks pretty nice, as far as windshields go, because of the tint to match the tank.
Hi,
Like you, I think the narrow frame of the sportster looks better with something small. I found mine after doing a search on the internet. I think it cost me around $75.00. It's a quick release, but does mount to the handlebars rather than the forks. Good Luck...
that sounds close. it should be about an inch or sobelow your eyes.

What height do you guts recommend above the headlite bucket? I know it depends on how tall you are but dont like the looks of a tall windshield on the Sporty. Would 14-16 inches be enough for someone 5'10.
I'm looking for a windshield for my '06 sport. I don't want a big one, just something small and "sporty". I realize that I won't have the advantage of large screen protection, but I don't like the look of the big guys. Any suggestions?
Thanks...
I'm not a fan of windshields either, but purchase an inexpensivehandlebar mounted model to get by in the colder weather. It turned out to be solid, and can be taken off with two butterfly nuts in a minute. Its a Slipstreamer Spitfire S-06. I think I got it through Amazon.com for around $50. It's a good bet for little money.
