Default Tool Bag?

I'm shopping around for ideas: I need someplace on my 2005 XLC to store stuff like sunglasses, garage door opener, gloves, shock tool and so on. I haven't seen anything yet that really "floats my boat". What are you guys using? Fork mount? Sissy bar mount? What do you like and what do you not like? Your thoughts, please.

I mounted a "permanent" bag on my '06 Custom, andmounted it on thelower part of the front frame.Thebagis just for my small tool kit... it's really not practical for items that you need to access with any frequency, so probably wouldn't work for sunglasses/garage opener, etc.

Mysmall fork bag is on thefront of the lower frame, immediately behind the front wheel and in front of my feet. I've attached a picture that might give you an idea of where it's mounted, although it might be tough to see... I'm the second bike in line, and if the picture isn't too small, you can see the bag and the bagstraps hanging down a little big, directly in front of my feet.

The bag is simply attached to frame with 4 black zip tie's.

Keith

I got the Fork mount bag for cigarettes & straps & junk. For my tool bag I got the windshield bag for the larger bikes. The one with a metal latch with a hole in it so I could put a lock on it. Tight fit but it will fit & is perfect fit for my tool bag. It is wider than the windshield But the way the windshield is made the back of bag will slide into the corners perfect.[sm=biker2.gif]

I think it's the N. Embossed Bar & Shield Logo Leather Windshield Bag page 707 2008 cat. Look for latch made of metal with a small hold in it for a small lock. I found a small combination lock thats a good fit in luggage area of dept store at mall. Can't go check it on bike right now cause I keep it at my brothers house(no garage yet).
