I changed out the tank on my 05 883xl to the 4.5 gal tank. You have to change the seat too. You should be able to find a new takeoff sportster 1200 custom seat on ebay fairly cheap and maybe even the tank. You will have to get it painted and will need the install kit that you get from your HD Dealer. It really changes the "feel" of your bike so I recommend you go to a dealer and sit on a 1200C before you do it. You can then sell the used tank & seat on ebay to defer some of your costs. My swap after the whole job was done cost me about $300 because I was able to sell my used parts for a good buck. Good Luck! KB [sm=signs003.gif]
