Changing the Choke Cable

I'm really very new to motorcycles and I just did this 2 weeks ago on my 03 Sportster. You'll have to fully remove the breather assembly to get to the carb which is press fit in. Some people remove the fuel line and the throttle/idle cables to make it easier, but I was able to just barely get to it enough to do the change. The key for me was patience. The nut holding the cable in place on the carb was nylon, so I had to be very careful breaking it loose. Also it was not fun to get back in and lined up so I didn't strip the threads with the fuel line still attached. All told, 30 minutes from beginning to end, with a break in the middle for some deep breaths where the nylon nut was concerned. You tube was my friend with this, and should be yours too.
