custom priority
Does anyone have any order of preferences when it comes to customising their stock 883 sportster? Of course there is the issue of money.
I'm thinking of buying a bit of extra tin each month (though the temptation often runs greater than this!)
First thing was new pipes.
then chrome the engine covers
new front wheel (not keen on the spoked effect)
add some chrome highlights (front light trim, grips, chrome battery cover, etc.)
In summer perhaps a 1200 conversion
voila, my dream bike!
Any advise welcome.

Sounds like a plan to me. Most of the customization depends on your style and riding. For example, if you want a sport looking bike and always ride solo, you could consider an after market solo seat. I think that really jazzes up a bike.
I would start by changing out the pipes and rejetting the carb. Those bikes could use some extra pep. Then I would change bars, seat, all the sheet metal, engine, wheels, and customize it slightly.
