Hell ya take it back! ask the mechanic if he is honestly telling you that the bike should sputter and pop... if he says YES tell him to call harleys tech dept and ask them if that is normal on speaker with you there! they are lie'n to you... it should not do that! you paid for a dyno and got the right gear on your bike it should run like a top! TAKE IT BACK TO A DIFF DEALER AND TELL THEM THAT YOUR OLD DEALER IS TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF! it does not matter where you bring it the bike is covered... your issue my be covering the dyno tune... give them one more chance... in all honesty. sounds to me like they are trying to tell a lady how her bike should run... if it feels like it is running funny then it is... take it back... you paid for it, they should fix it... HELL if you lived by me i would go in there with you that is NUTS!... that is how bikes are supposed to run... pathetic answer
well.. I went to the stealership and told them I wanted to upgrade to improve torque/ power.. they said ok.. "lets do blah. blah, blah.
Which is the air filter, re-jet (#45) and Rush pipes.. SO I ASSUMED they sold me what i needed.... we pu them on.. it sputted so I took it back and paid for them to TUNE it OR FIX it whatever they had to do ....
they tuned it, ran the Dyno.. thingy and said.. "ok, she will be fine.. she is runnung great"!
I left the place.. same ****! I mean.. don't get me wrong.. at idle.. potato.. potato.. sounds beautiful! But when I rev the throttle on occasion.. it sputters or pops.
So maybe I should take it to another stealership?? I'm confused.. ? Cause I sure can't take this thing apart!
Anyone living close to me know about this stuff? I'll fix dinner or buy drinks??!

ha ha ha I WISH I WAS! you are being lied to that is what it boils down to... i woudl go to another dealer... be honest with the service guy... tell him what is happening... Tell him about thetroubles you are having at the other dealer... they will work their tail off to get your business... if ya need someone to call, let me know i can call for ya... Chicago harley they tried to give my aunt the run around as well... they tried to tell me the same thing when i went in there till the guy realized I owned a shop... after that he had no problem having the "head mechanic" look at it... i am sure you can find somene to fix it (hell i could have fixed my aunts)... that is not the problem... you paid for a service... it should be done right! we have in 2 slogans in my shop... 1. treat the bike as you would your own & 2. DO IT RIGHT... DO IT ONCE... they are doing neither...

Here's what I'd do.
Get my $$$ back for the dyno from the dealer.
Find an indy who knows what they are doing.
PM TROTTER and/or MUDPUDDLE... these guys are knowledgeable good guys. Ask for help.
I GUARANTEE someone can make your bike run perfectly.
Be relentless... Git 'er done! Make it happen... there is no whining in biking! Life is too short to ride a sh*tty running scoot.
"PM TROTTER and/or MUDPUDDLE... these guys are knowledgeable good guys. Ask for help."
to be honest... that is prob the best advice you will EVER GET!!! those two just amaze me!
Wow what an offer, can't believe the entire forum hasnt taken you up on it. Hmm anyhow, uh I'd take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it PERIOD
I have no idea who you are but after reading this post here is what (I) would do. You say you have friends or buddies that ride, I would take one of them or all of them back to the dealer that worked on your bike and tell them to fix it right, this way with some knowledgable person with you the dealer can't bull sh*t his way around anything. They should fix the issue or else explain the situation in a way you fully understand and guide you as to what can be done, the dealer I go to would, yours should!
why is this guy such an *** to me??
good grief.. I have a bike problem that is nOT resolved.... get the hell out if you can't help!

I am starting to think troll.
Same story over and over, three seperate post and all the same story [:@]
Dont sweat it.......
You have friends here that admire the fact that you love your bike and want it running right.
Post all you want
Meanwhile, I will start mapping my cross country route to come over for dinner
If you paided the stealer that dyno tuned with a credit card and haven't paided the credit card company stop payment on the credit card till you get the problem solved.
It also pisses me off when a dealership, or any repair shop for that matter, will take advantage of a women thinking she does not know better and will eventually go away.
