Bought that intake for my nightster. I know its a "cheapo" but i really wanted to give it a try. All else fails i will spend the money for a name brand. I already have the kit and im fairly impressed with the fitment.
Now i have short shots showing up anyday now and my power commander is waiting to be programmed. This intake has a "ram air" open end. Do you all think the map for the short shot/heavy breather intake will be a good starting point? OR should i go slightly richer?
Hopefully this kit works well. It is nice to see someone go out on a limb to try to make a nice kit on there own. Any the help i get on this forum is always VERY appreciated and usually very helpful.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Now all i gotta do is make this intake black and get an outerwear to fit the dang thing.
RE: Decided to try this INTAKE..... now for programming
FYI your intake kicks BOOTY.... lol one of the first ones i saw on a nightster and one of the first ones i wrote off due to price.. but dang it looks good.
RE: Decided to try this INTAKE..... now for programming
I just bought the same intake for my bike, I am waiting to install it because I have to pull the carb off and do a stage 1 overhaul on it then install the intake and maybe a set of Cycle Shack Pipes to go with it, I can't wait!
