On my 04 sportset. I press the oil cap down to click it. It is not flushed with the houseing. It sticks up just a little bit. This being a new bike to me I never really noticed how it was suposse to be. Is it suppose to be flush or dose it stick up just a little?

On my 07 I took the oil ring off and tried it and it screwed in flush with the casing. So I replaced it with a thinner oil ring and it worked perfect. Much luck.
