For everyone looking for the slash-cut CS slip-ons from Jireh's.....
The slash cut (traditional drag pipe cut/look) are not listed where the other sportster slip ons are up front. They are the last set of slip-ons listed. Look on the last page.
AZFlyingDiver, how do you like your S&S air cleaner. I was thinking of getting for my 883 along with the Cycle Shacks and jetting the carb. I love the classic look of the teardrop air cleaner much better than the stock ham can. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your air cleaner and how much was it?
I LOVE it (great performance and I'm a fan of the old school style...)
I got mine from www.sorgys.com - you need to call the number on the site or e-mail them to order, but they're very helpful and turnaround is real quick (same-day shipping if in stock). Best prices I've found (you can pretty much look in any catalog and tell them what you want and they'll quote you a price). I think I paid about $158 (price may have gone up slightly since then). S&S part number is 17-0117 (fits through '06 Sportys). Instructions in the box kinda suck so if you want, PM me and I can e-mail a more current set of instructions from S&S. Another good place with great prices is Zanotti's ( www.zanottimotor.com ). I've bought from both zanotti's and sorgy's and have nothing but good things to say about them...
Good luck!
I just installed a set of cycle shack slip ons from Denniskirk.com and they were only 164 bucks. Great service and FREE shipping! I also installed the screamin eagle air cleaner and did not have to rejet. Its running absolutely great, it sounds awesome and is definitely faster than before. Total cost of my stage one was 273 bucks. I installed the parts myself and took it to a trusted local shop for the re-jet job but it wasnt necessary. I couldnt be any happier with cycle shacks quality.

Plus I do not believe you can remove baffles and NOT loose torque. Just my .02
It's necessarily that the bike will loose torque from adding a free flowing exhaust, chances are with mufflers alone the torque level will be exactly the same or slightly higher. The problem is, the torque curve becomes changed. Instead of making more torque at lower rpm's in the low gears, the bike will make the extra torque through the mid to upper rpm's. Thats why drag pipes are called just that; Drag Pipes. They are designed to make torque in the higher rpm ranges while racing down the drag strip. For most of us, everyday riding probably dictates that we have or torque peak out in the lower rpm's, especially when riding in traffic. Regardless of the science behind it, the rider will still probably feel the bike is a little more sluggish on take off.
I put CS tapereds on my bike without changing the AC. I gained significant torque over the stock mufflers. Haven't touched the carb. They sound nice and deep and are borderline too loud unless I'm riding with other loud Harleys. I plan on going to a better flowing AC later and re-jetting at that time.
