i want to start getting stuff for my bike i just got but don't know any think but this:

1988 sportster
title says h8d for modle. i know it was a 1200cc over to a 1340cc. can anyone help me find the exect model?

Hummmm. that makes it out to a 883 deluxe. i have an s&s motor on it and was told it was a 1200 made over to a 1340. i'm lost. maybe i should take it somewhere?

You will probably never know for sure unless you open the motor and do some measuring.

i know it has a lot deeper rumble than the 02 sportster 883 hugger i just painted. you can see that one on my site. just google my user name.

Well, if it has a S&S motor on it, it should be at least a 1200 then.
