Want to do some upgrades
Hey guys, new to riding I bought an 07 1200R and I want to do a few things but dont know what I should do. I want to get a new exhaust because I want that harley sound. I'm kinda strapped for cash so I was thinking about getting some slip-ons any suggestions? I also wanted to get some forward controls because I think it would be more comfortable. Again do you guys have any suggestions? Also are these things that I can do myself or should I take my bike to a shop to have the upgrades done? Im pretty handy in the garage... Thanks for your help!

A ton of people like the Cycle Shack slip ons. Also, you can never go wrong with Vance and Hines. As for the forwards, I would recommend HD's. Get the part numbers and go online to Zanotti's for decent pricing. First and foremost, buy the service manual and perhaps the parts manual. Putting the pipes and forwards on is pretty easy. You can definitely do it.

Just did both the forward controls and the Vances & Hines short shots pipes, Anyone with some basicwrenching skills can do this. I recomend having a buddy help itwill make things easyer and you can have a couple beers and sit back and look at the job well done and the money you saved .
