Default 07 1200 C Throttle

I've noticed that the throttle on my 07 EFI 1200 C is much "lighter" to turn that the throttle on my buddy's 06 carbed 1200 C. Also, there is significantly more play in the throttle cable from 07 to 06. How can I make my throttle feel like the "heavier", with less play, 06? I've heard some stuff about a different spring on the throttle body - anybody know where I can find the correct spring? I like the feel of 06 so much more, and it seems that the 07 is a little jumpy because of the light as hell throttle.

Larger hardware stores usually have a selection of inexpencive springs of different shapes & sizes, buy a few and experiment to see what works best, make sure to add a spring rather than replace the one that is there for safety sake.

How about just tighten up the throttle friction slightly? That's what I do and it works just fine. It makes the throttle smoother and less responsive to my arm bouncing over bumps.

I tried messing around with that a bit, but it just goes from sloppy to stuck. It's almost like the cables are a hair too long, and the spring a hair too weak. I might try adding a spring...

I did a simple mod on mine as it was the same way....

I added a spring at the butterfly valve linkage to the top of the air cleaner plastic housing (back plate) by drilling a small 1/32nd hole in it. Works great!

Like the other posts said, I got my spring at Ace Hardware store. You may want to try several but start out with some pretty stiff ones first.
