Primary/trans oil
I read that it's not a good idea to use Harley's Syn oil in the primary. even though they say its ok and they even ship the Sceaming eagle bikes with it in it. I heard it's good stuff for the engine but its better to use the trans stuff in the primary. any one have any thought on this?Iam about to get my first serivce.[:'(] DL

Mobile V-TWIN 20-50 is what I think is the best for not only for the primary but the motor also. You will see that there are so many opinions out there regarding this subject that it can become quite confusing on what to use. Good Luck.

The dealer I go to actually told me they don't recommend the Syn3 in the primary even though Harley does. They said the HD Formula + has been getting better results. They did however also say the Mobil 1 20-50 is probably the best stuff to use.
