03 883 wiring question
I am helping a buddy chop up an 03 883 and we were running the wires internal on some 10" apes. We ran the right side and I turned the switch on and cranked the bike to make sure everything was good, it was. Did the left side and turned the switch on and when I hit the start button, we heard a pop(like a fuse blew) and now it won't start- headlight still works,though. I did find the source of the short and fixed it, but, do not know where the fuse is. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

i know these are two diff years
but what im told is on the 06 883
the fuse box is under the seat kinda wedged between the battery and oil tank
good luck, maybe try a clymber book

Fuse box should be under the left side side panel between the seat and the fender. Pull it off and you will see a box with a bunch of wires running into it. You need to detach/slide outthe box by lifting a clip and sliding the fuse panel out - should have 4 15 amp fuses in it - automotive blade type.
