I want to sell mine because i like the new troublemakers and think they would look good with the way my bike looks. Instaead of just straight like the shortshots, they could give my bike a different look.
I think Short Shots are turning into what Long Shots have been for years......"Me, too pipes". I remember when Long Shots first came out. They were cool. Then, it seemed that nearly everybody had them. I've noticed that lots of the times when I talked to a guy who just got his first Harley, Long Shots are the pipes that they mostly say they want. Sometimes, I don't think that they even know that there are other pipes on the market.
Anyone try running cherry bomb glass packs. Just a thought
I love some glass packs on the right car/truck. We got them on our '77 Ford. It's got cherry bombs with turn outs on each side exiting right behind the cab. With a 460 under the hood, she's got a good sound. The whole reason they ended up on the truck, is because the stock mufflers and next set of replacements rusted out even with the truck sitting in the garage. It had 2 sets of mufflers put on it in under 20k miles. The glass packs have been on for 25 years now and still solid. The old girl only 45k miles on her.
I prefer the pipes to exit behind me.... That is why I have always wanted (and recently bought and installed) Samson Rip Saws on mine.
And yes it seems the V&H shortshot is becoming the "me too" set of pipes these days.
