I have had some problems down shifting when coming to a stop. Specifically I can't get it to drop into gear. Doesn't happen often, but when it does it is in traffic. Like today trying to slow down for a stop light. I had to hold in the clutch, and get it stopped on the side of the road. It took about 2 minutes to get it into first. Wanted to stay in fourth. I have asked the dealer abut it and they took the bike for a test ride, and said they didn't notice anything. Has anyone had this issue?
I have had the same type of problem with mine every now and then when I try to catch (N) pull up one and end up dropin down 3 or 4 before I bottom out again on first.
If it will not go down in gear, release the clutch just slightly and it shouldgrab agear, then pull the clutch back in and tap the shifter again until you get into the desired gear. I had to show that trick to my buddy that just got a heritage classic.

Exactly what I was gonna say...happens to me occasionally too: learned this trick many years ago on my brother's Triumph 750 Bonnie.
