Have a 2010 Ultra Classic and started having trouble shifting. Then the bike wouldn't start with the clutch pulled in, only in neutral. Next, the bike would stall out when starting from 1st gear unless it was given A LOT of throttle, could not "walk" it when feathering the clutch. Lastly, it the 6th gear light started coming on when I would downshift from 3rd to 2nd. The clutch had a lot of play in it and I tried adjusting it but no luck. Any ideas?

 

i got same problem 2 years ago , something went wrong with the transmission bearing . and damaged the clucth and some more . dealer Replaced mine under waranty

 

Id start with using gear oil in there and properly adjusting the clutch.

 

Did that

 

Crack in the Clutch Switch was causing it to malfunction...all fixed now.
