Default Nightsters by location.

Where do most of the Nightsters seem to be selling? Two months ago I stopped by a local dealer. They had an all black Nightster on the showroom floor, and an orange/black one in the back.I stopped by again yesterday, and they still had the black one on the floor (same bike, I checked the last four of the vin), this time joined by the orange/black, and a silver/black one. They just don't seem to be selling here. And, I've never seen one on the road around here.

Yet, the 105th bikes seem to be selling like crazy. On the first trip, there was at least one 105th bike of each model on the floor. Now, NONE. What's up with that?

From the posts I've seen, the Nightsters appear to be very popular on the East Coast. Where else do they seem to be popular? Maybe they're just saving them for me when I can finally get one.

The place was crowded, and salesmen were running all over the place putting "sold" and "hold" signs on bikes. And most of the Sportsters were selling quickly! Yet not a single customer stopped and looked at the Nightsters. Am I the only one in Oklahoma with any taste??

Thats cause there overpriced for what they are, people just don't wanna spend 10k on something that rides ruff and for a few extra bucks move up to a larger bike. I went to three dealers this weekend cause it's rainy here so I figured I'd kill some time and get some new tees and every dealer had at least three Nightsters if not more.

Speaking of 105th's I seen a Softail Deluxe in 105th colors today for the first time and let me tell you I hate the 105th colors I really do and sorry to you 105th owners but this bike was beautiful. I'm not really even a fan of the Deluxe but I would really like that bike.

Yeah, I saw a 105th Ultra yesterday with Rinehart slip-ons. It was really nice looking in the sunlight.

i know before i left the fayetteville/ ft. bragg, nc areain october for the desert, there seemed to be afew running around the base. seems to be a popular bike for all the soldiers coming back from deployment with nothing else better to spend their hard earned money on.....kinda like me [8D]. i'm sure my customization will be unique tho...i'm not too worried about who has the same bike as me. in the SF community, every other vehicle you see is either a.) jeep wrangler, tricked out good 'ol boy style, b.) any of the american trucks, tricked out good 'ol boy style, or c.) harley davidson.

New York Nightster here. They seem to be selling here.
New Yorkers tend to like Black in all things so no surprise that we like Nightsters.

The dealer here has 7 in stock. 4 black, 1 orange and black, 2 silver and black. I've only seen one on the road here.

Theres a lot of 105th's here, no sportsters though, I think I bought the only one the dealer has gotten since last year. Theres maybe 6 or 7 nightsters that have been there all winter and still havent moved. Nobody really buys new bikes up here, the dealer floor is almost 3/4 used Harleys. The sportbikes and metrics sell like crazy though. I almost bought a nightster when I got my bike but I wanted something I wasnt going to see every day and that I didnt have to spend even more to put forward controls on it and make it ridable, I'm way too tall for mid's.... Plus if I want a blacked out bare bones bike I'll build my own, not pay $10k for a mainstream one.

We have 3 dealerships here in Jacksonville and 1 about 35 miles South in St. Augustine. I have seen 1 Nightster since they hit the showroom. The superplex dealership here in Jacksonville, must have8 or soof them on the floor, but they have a bunch of other Sporties also. I've never looked at the prices, but the rest of the bikes that I have pricedare pretty resonable, so I suspect the Nightsters / Sportsters are also.
These guys are pretty reasonable anyway, as I got mine there at a good bit under MSRP, out the door. I was even able to haggle a bit, which is odd for most HD dealerships

My local dealer in Ohio probably has 6-8 Nightsters but he is selling them. I have seen several leave the store. He probably has 25 Sportsters total. Dealers have some say in what they get. They are required to take a certain number of Sportsters as a percentage of the big twins. They are also limited on the number of 2-tone bikes vs. solid colors they get. I was told each dealer has four allotments of bikes and the first allotment is chose by the factory and the remaining three are dealer chosen. Each dealer has to know his local market and what will sell. I have noticed my dealer gets very few Road Glides and even fewer R model Sportys. I have never seen one on the showroom. When I asked about them they simply stated they only get a few each year. They also told me they would only be getting about 5-6 Rockers per year. Not too many considering the dealer sells somewhere around 550 bikes per year.
