I'm looking at purchasing some other mirrors for my 883C and replacing the stock ones. I really like the looks of these and they seem like they would give me a slightly better view being that they are long stem. However, the last sentence on the mirror desc says this:
"Not recommended for Buckhorn handlebars or '04-'07 XL models."
My Brother just got Magnum Ellipse for his stock bars on a 2000 1200-C, they stick out about 1/2" more then the Magnum plus with the same stems. He got the long stem, and he can see in back of his bike really good. Way better then I can with my stock mirrors on my 06 1200-C. Plus they look better then my stock mirrors, and he said they don't vib as bad as his stock ones did. When I do change mirrors, thats what I'm going with.
As for the Buckhorn thing I don't get that...
I called Kuryakyn just to see what they could tell me. The man on the phone seemed nice and he explained that they dont recommend these for buckhorn or xl model cycles since you would have a partially blocked view with your elbows in the way. I laughed and told the guy the reason I'm looking to replace my stock mirrors is for that exact reason. I THINK the mirror stems on the Ellipse mirrors are 7 inches would should give me a better view behind me.
