Default convex mirrors

My used bike came with dinky little mirrors that are more for looks than anything else. Getting ready to buy new ones. Has anybody tried the convex mirrors that some companies make? Like or dislike them? Or would I be better off with flat glass?

Most, if not all, new bikes come with convex mirrors, so virtually everyone hashad them. They give you a wider field of view, and vibration affects them less.

I replaced my stock Ultra mirrors with turn signal mirrors from Kuryakin, and specified flat glass, which I prefer. There is a noticeable difference in the field of view (mirrors are about the same size as the stock ones), but what I see is accurate. Vibration has notbeen a problem

I use flat glass also, swapped out the stock ones. I like the view better and vibration really isn't a problem for me either.

I had to replace my mirrors when I changed bars because I could no longer see past my shoulders with the stockers even though they were convex. I went with Kuryakyn Elipse mirrors, convex version, which, I believe, are the same or similar to the turn signal mirrors without the turn signals. They are a little more sporty looking and not as big as stock. I still went with convex because the surface area of the mirrors is not all that big and I wanted to see as much behind me as possible. The results were perfect for me. I can now see better than I did with the stock mirrors on the stock bars.

I just put on HD Split Vision mirrors a few weeks ago & after 3 rides I'm very happy. They look great & the smaller section on the mirror makes seeing directly behide you very easy. Highly recommended.
