upper fork tubes
Has anyone on here changed them out?
I have a "N" with the shorter tubes and ordered the stock tubes from a "C" model 2" longer. Planning on swaping them. How long of a job? Any helpful tips?
Should look pretty Cool with the longer tubes

With a service manual and the right tools its not difficult. But its a serious pain in the butt getting fork seals in and out which is necessary to get the tubes out of the stock legs and the dampers/rebound springs out.

It won't have any more travel, unless changing the lowers. I'm just changing the stance of the bike.
If you are bottoming out alot, check into some heavier springs. They are real easy to change out to.

If you would have done this in the winter I would have swithed tubes with you. I'm wanting to lower mine and will be putting in a lowering kit soon so i'll have my forks apart but going to do it all at once so I don't want to miss any riding time.
