Interesting 'chain of event' involving the members of the MC (I call them Clubs, not Gangs), as something like that would never have taken place with patched members of any Tradition MC I've ever been involved with.

Patched members of most traditional MC's are very reserved when it comes to dealings with strangers and non-members, and would never get involved in a verbal battle. Also, if a stranger asked one of them if they were going to keep 'running their mouth' that would be more than enough to go from a verbal to physical battle, without a doubt.

Becoming a member of a traditionalMCis a very long drawn out process that could take years. Never heard of a member walking up to someone andjust askthem if they wanted to join "the gang' (or club).

Normally the person hangs around for a period of time, attending open events with various club members, and if the chapter membership in general gets along with the individual the person isasked if they want to be a club prospect.Being a club prospect is very demanding, and very few make it to the point where they have proven themself and earned the respectof the full chapter membership and are voted in as a full patched member.

I don't doubt what you are saying, but I've just never heard of anything like that happening.

Strange world these days, so nothing really surprises me anymore.

i ride with the club/gang(whatever you want to call it) quite often..and maybe they have some respect for me standing up for myself..i really dought any of them would want to get physical(most of them are older and half beat up already)..they have asked me more than once to join them and wear the colors but im just not into it..its not like its the hells angels..its just a local club that has permission to exist from one of the bigger east coast clubs..just not me...i dont like looking for trouble..and im friends with the founder so i dought he would let it get physical..they are just not that way..

Well that makes sense, and I didn't want you to think I doubted in the least what you were saying...

For some reason I thought you were talking about patched members you didn't know from a large 'dominate MC', and I couldn't imagine them acting like that..

Makes a big difference being that it was members that you know from a local support club, and now I can understand the friendly bickering back and forth.....

I have stolen this from someone else, but the term "geezer-glide" just tickels the s**t out of me. I just tell them I like their geezer-glide (if they say theydo not like the sportser) and I do, I like them all.

If that should ever happen to me (and my apologies to the ladies here, in advance), I'm gonna look down, crab my crotch and say...heh, its all here, yep, I'm a man and leave it at that.

Every time I go to a benefit ride around here everyone comments on how good my bike looks and how fun and quick sportsters are.... I've only had one person "make fun" of me for riding a sportster and he was leaning against the picnic table outside dunkin donuts showing off his softail all decked out. Funny part was that I had seen that guy 4 other times while just cruising around town that day, and either it was perfect timing each time or that fool didnt leave dunkin donuts for over 6 hours... Get one of the Sportster's Rule "You just got passed by a sportster" T-shirts from Lick's Cycles, I've had a lot of old guys get a kick out of them at rides Anyone with a real passion for bikes or who has been around them for a long time know's the sportster isnt a beginners bike. The only thing that makes it a beginners bike is the "low" price tag...

The very reason I don't do clubs...

As for the original thread.... I really never get treated like that when I pull into a place.... So I guess I don't have to get defensive about anything....

I never get treated like that either, on the weekend a guy from a well known MC asked me if it was a Low Rider.
