air filter/ fuelpak

Does anyone know if i can get, say a k&n highflow replacement filter for the stock air cleaner and add the fuelpak without doing a stage 1 andremap? If so is it a waste of time and money, and are there any benefits over stock in the throttle response? By the way im putting on v&h shortshots also. Oh by the way my bike is a 08 nightster, thanks Lee

no, the fuel pak requires a high flow airbox to run properly, and the stock airbox doesnt cut it, even with the k&n filter.many have tried,allhave failed.. you are better off just putting on the exhaust, and wait to put on the fuel pak, until you can afford to get a stg 1 air box, like a big sucker or screamin eagle stg 1.. with pipes alone, the bikeshould run ok..

Thanks guys im just going to do the stage 1, pipes , and fuel pak all together, ordering them up tommorrow! people seam to have had luck with that combo.
