nightster and mini apes
Got my first bike a couple weeks ago, 2008 Nightster. I am wanting to put the mini apes on it myself so I call the dealer where I bought the bike to get all the parts needed and they said if I want to keep the black cables that the stock ones will work. Just need to be rerouted. They said the only thing I will need to buy are the bars themself. Does that sound right? I thought the stock cables were too short. Also what about the wiring? Anybody done this? Thanks.

In my opinion you will need a new brake line to do the job correctly... Everything else including the wiring will fit... The only way to get the stock brake line to work is to bend the pipe at the master end straight.....
