Sportser 883 Saddle Bags
I have recently bought a 2008 Sportser 883 XL. \\; Although I would love to get saddle bags right from Harley Davidson, they can be a bit pricey. \\; Has anyone found saddle bags for sale that fit an 883 XL anywhere else?

any medium sized slant throw over bags should work. What do you plan on putting in them? That might lead you in a direction of what style to look for. The saddlebag supports would also be a good idea but maybe not totally necessary. I just put some rigid leather HD bags on mine at a decent deal used but they were still pricey. Are you gonna eventually put a detachable backrest and sissy bar on it? \\;That could make a difference, too.

Stay with small to medium size bags unless you want to move the turn signals. If you don't want to fool with bag supports, you should tie the front and rear of each bag in position so they won't get in the wheel. My Willie & Max compact slant throw-overs work good for me and have a pair of tabs that you can tie down to the shock in the front and the turn signal stalk in the rear. Works great.
