oil leak
I have an oil leak possibly primary on my 06 1200R. It's at the dealer now, they said it possibly can be a seal or somthing. Nothing dripping just wet on the bottom of the cases mostley by the drive belt. I only have 950 miles on her and I was wondering if any one had this similer problem. The dealer said that its not uncommon for somtimes the factory might have used a faulty seals, he told me that they ripped apart many twin cam engines with 500 miles on them for bad seals. I thought htey fixed the leaking harley thing? Any experiences with this problem would be help full, for I am really ticked about this, I have to send another payment while my new bike is in the shop.........DL

No oil leaks for me (knock on wood). I've got about 2300 miles so far. Sounds like a good explanation about the plant having bad seals. At least you caught it early.

This will sound stupid, but please make sure the oil filler cap isn't leaking. I had the same problem with mine and it drove me crazy. Finally, I realized the oil filler cap wasn't screwing all the way down. I changed out the O-ring and now it turns in very tight and bottoms down. No more oil leak.
