Default Hands Asleep

When I ride my hands fall asleep, I can still control my bike but I want the feeling back in my hands, does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Sounds like you might be gripping the grips too tightly...
&nbsp\\;
Many people do this, and I think it's sometimes called a 'death grip' on the bars.&nbsp\\; Actually, you don't even need to grip the bars when riding, more or less just rest your hands on them.
&nbsp\\;
Also, not as critical these days with the rubber mounted motors and stuff, but that is one of the main reasons when myself and most I ride with wear the gel palmed gloves.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
The gel palmed gloves do wonders to help 'deaden' the vibration transmitted through the bar to your hands, and this was very noticeable back in the days of the panheads and shovelheads, or even when riding solid mounted Ironheads and EVO's.&nbsp\\;

Ease up on your grip. Also, to help your throttle hand, while your setting in your driveway, tighten your throttle tensioner untill it holds your throttle in position, then back it off untill it lets the throttle slip back to idle. That will allow you to hold your throttle position with less effort and you won't have to grip it so hard.

I don't death grip the bike, but have this issue too.&nbsp\\; I have mild Carpal Tunnel Syndrome though.&nbsp\\; A good cheap remedy for me is to take some vitamin B100.&nbsp\\; Works like a charm.&nbsp\\; It'll scare the crap outta you when you start peeing neon, but it keeps your hands awake.

Same problem here every time I ride.&nbsp\\; Old solution was to use the throttle tensioner while going down the road to give my hand a break.&nbsp\\; New solution (thanks to a forum member) is to use a Throttle Mate.&nbsp\\; So far it works real good.

On long rides I rest my fingers up on the levers quite a bit, it does help, just be careful not to activate the brake light or even worse cause the brake to rub.

I have the ISO grips on mine, They help quite a bit.&nbsp\\; I did see someone that had these jell filled covers that slip over your stock grips, he said they work great and they were like $12 or something.&nbsp\\; Maybe that will work for you.

My issue was wrist soreness. By Friday it hurt to even ride home from work. The throttle tensioner helped some and Throttle Rocker helped even more. Best money ever spent in my opinion.

I just bought some padded grips to replace the cheap a$$ stock grips. I am hoping it helps.
