yea i heard of people doing ti and it looks like you might just need to replace the brake cable if anything. but ever since i started researching cant find the info.
i just ordered a set of 4.5 in risers off ebay to hold me over and to see how much play the cables have. idk which apes your looking at but lickscycles.com has some nice bars for a good price and you can get them shorter like 8 inches or 10 to help save some room. ill be sure to pm once the risers are on because that will make the total bar height 9.5 in where as they are 7 in now. if this works then theres hope. and the bars arent here yet so i cant even test fit them thats why im screwing with the risers.
My 10" Z's have all stock cables.... Not sure about twelve inch though.... And traditional apes have more spread than Z-bars... I honestly doubt that stock cables would work with 12" apes
even the brake line? thanks for the info i was eying up the z bars so ill have to order them. thanks for the info.

yes... surprisingly... I was sure the brake line would need to be replaced... but not so... I think the relatively narrow spread and slightly forward tilt of the Z's make them less of a stretch than one would think
