I have a 07 1200 low. \\; Stock engine, air filter and screamin eagle exhaust. No stage 1.
 \\;
Starting this riding season, the bike will run fine most days, then all of a sudden you will be cruising along and it's like the fuel stops flowing or the spark goes out. \\; The bike just coughs big time. \\; 1 second later it's ok, then it coughs again. This can last for the entire day or until you turn the bike off and restart it. \\; I put new plugs in it.
 \\;
I have the factory warranty till nov this year so it is going into the dealer Monday night.
 \\;
Does anyone have any ideas? \\; I'm not picking it up from the dealer until they find something wrong. \\; I can hear it now, they will call and say they test drove it and it ran fine....

There is some sort of recall on fuel pump. Reads like some earler post's i've read. Look under left side of gas tank There's a letter and number code if the letter a or b are in the code it's not the updated fuel pump if its a c it's the latter fuel pump with the revision. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply.
I will have Harley replace it since mine os revision A.
sastrac, it's actually a tech tip (TT328 â August 9, 2007 â 2007 XL Fuel Pressure - 2007 XL Pressure Regulator / Low Fuel Pressure) and not a recall. It \\;involves adding a kit \\;to insure proper fuel pressure. PM me and give me an e-mail addy and I will e-mail you a PDF of the tip if you want or you can probably find it doing a Google search. \\;You can print it out and take it in to your dealer.

sastrac, I have a 2008 1200L and mine was doing the exact same thing, maybe not as much but it was like no spark or no gas for a split second and then it would be ok for a while. Then it would do it again. Mine turned out to be that the front oxygen sensor was almost unplugged from the connector down at the bottom front of the frame. Might be worth a check.

I have had mine do that twice at random times, but I have the O2 sesnor eliminators in. \\; I will have to check and make sure they are properly installed.
